the real deal

Thatching at O'Sheas Pub
I am glad I found this photo. I was so busy trying to make the thatch job on the right when what I really wanted was the well aged thatching on the left.

Click on the photo to go right to the album. It is not my photo, I have never been to Ireland except at the movie theater.

Now I can relax about it, quit obsessing, and get on with other miniature making challenges I want to conquer. It is an uphill climb with some easy places and some really steep grades, the mental excersise is very good for me.

Great reference photo, Karin! Like everything there is the Brand New and the old and faded..... and everything in between! I am wrestling with that dilemma a bit with my Lovely Old Dollhouse... especially on the exterior.... because I am making an Old thing OVER so how old should I make it LOOK?
